Over 3,000 feet deep beneath the arid terrain of the Negev Desert sits ancient reservoirs that took thousands of years to fill with large quantities of salty brackish water.

Rich with natural minerals, this brackish water is irrigated to nourish Halutza orchards using the latest in irrigation technology.

Halutza’s distinct award winning flavor is derived from the ideal combination of the hot desert sun, cool evenings, pollution-free air, and the salty brackish water.
This natural ecosystem, along with around-the-clock care, produces larger, juicier and tastier fruit. While other orchards experience a good year Halutza experiences an excellent year. Halutza has the winning combination.

The modern grove started some 50 years ago, with the heroic conquering of the arid terrain of the Negev Desert. Robust settlers discovered a large subterranean reservoir of brackish water.
The reservoir allowed them to plant orchards of Halutza olives. The salty water is the orchard's only source of irrigation. The soil and micro-climate conditions are ideal for growing the best olives.

Today the Halutza orchards, in excess of 100,000 trees, are the largest of their kind in the world. Halutza cultivated its groves using the most advanced farming technology, with salty water irrigation.
